PR_IRC40_2209.pdf Lainate, September 2022 - Carlo Gavazzi Automation, the international electronics group with activities in the design, manufacture, and marketing of electronic equipment, today presents its new series of inductive sensors, the IRC40.The IRC40 inductive sensor family is a robust solution for daily indoor and outdoor operations to ensure accurate and reliable detection of actuating parts, such as skid conveyor positioning on conveyor systems, step missing detection on escalators and presence detection in amusement parks.
The IRC40 sensors are resistant to extreme operating conditions such as exposure to wide temperature variations, frequent high pressure, and high-temperature wash-down cycles. They offer flexible adjustment options and adaptability to any applications thanks to the 5-position of the sensing face.
“The IRC40 sensors can be installed in a snap thanks to the push-unlock system of the mounting bracket without the need of any tools; that makes the IRC40 sensor the optimal solution for detection on conveyor systems and production lines when you need a reliable solution also thanks to the increased switching distance and the highest protection degree”, Davide Boschetti, International Product Specialist, says. “With this launch we aim to consolidate and increase our presence in the industries of conveyors and elevator, providing sensors that guarantee detection accuracy and continuity of operation even in harsh conditions”.
Developed in our competence center in Denmark, the IRC40 series has been specifically designed to reduce installation time, adapt to any installation needs and resist high and low temperatures and frequent washdown cycles. These sensors are mainly addressed to OEMs manufacturers of conveyor systems, escalators, agriculture machines, and materials handling in general.

• Operating temperature: -25°C to +80°C (-13°F to +176°F)
• IP68 and IP69K for certified full protection of the sensor against high pressure and high-temperature washing cycles
• 40x40x66 mm plastic housing with M12-plug connection
• Flush or non-flush mountable and antivalent output
